Hello! My name is Augie Velasquez and I am owner, designer, and craftsman at Bird Dog Woodworks. I am from Denver, Colorado (USA) and have been living in Sweden since 2020. Woodworking has been a passion since I bought my first table saw in 2014. As a self-taught woodworker, I continue to explore this craft and fine-tune my skills. This has given me an appreciation for the time-honored techniques that go into building handcrafted wooodworks. My goal is to create unique and custom pieces that reflect the craftsmanship, quality, and attention to detail that are missing from mass produced and cheaply made products. What began as a hobby, building custom pieces for our home, has led to designing and creating bespoke pieces for others and ultimately, to the founding of Bird Dog Woodworks.
I look forward to working with you to design and create a special woodworking piece that exactly fits your style and needs. A piece that will bring you as much joy as I receive from creating it.
Crafting quality woodworks that are uniquely yours.
